Hailing from the Philadelphia region, Anthony Fiore Is a 1985 graduate of West Point with over 22 years of uniformed service to our nation and over 17 years of corporate experience in both policy planning and the healthcare Industry.
He was an Assistant Professor in the United States Military Academy's Department of Social Sciences and served as speechwriter and Special Assistant to two Chairmen of the Joint Chiefs of Staff and the Secretary of the Army, supporting their duties as principal military advisors to the president. In addition to various assignments In the U.S. Anthony has served In Germany, the U.S. Embassy in Spain, and the Middle East.
Anthony founded and served as CEO for both a policy planning organization and healthcare company in the DC metropolitan area. He also serves as a principal consultant for a global leadership company focusing on senior leader development and the creation of positive company cultures. Anthony's engagements cover a wide span of industries to include utilities, transportation, manufacturing, and the oil and gas sector.
Anthony holds a Master of Arts in International Affairs from the Columbia University School of International and Public Affairs, and his executive education includes the Massachusetts Institute of Technology Seminar XXI program. He is a member of the American Council on Germany and the American Legion Small Business Task Force responsible for advocating to various committees and US representatives on behalf of veteran-owned businesses.
Anthony resides in VirginIs is married and has two sons.
Calaway Williams has served as both Secretary for the VAI Board of Directors and as ad hoc General Counsel since its 2019 formation. Through his role as Vice President of Fieldstone Partners, Calaway has been closely involved with VAI including its original founding, incorporation, fundraising, investor relations, SDVOSB Certification, contracting, and the broader commercial strategy aspects for the business.
A native Houstonian and licensed attorney in Texas, Calaway studied Finance at Texas A&M University before earning a JD from South Texas College of Law. Prior to his 2018 transition into investment banking with Fieldstone Partners, Calaway practiced law, serving as General Counsel in an upstream oil and gas servicing business, providing litigation support functions in the forensic accounting field, and advising on individual transactions. He has substantial experience in mergers and acquisitions, contract negotiation, review, and drafting, as well as strategic business management, and he also supports a number of administrative functions as needed.
Calaway is proud to be involved in VAI's pursuit of its highest goal of supporting Veterans and the advancement of Veteran-oriented endeavors.
A Virginia native and nurse with 23 years’ experience in acute cardiology care, healthcare management and 13 years as an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner at UVA Health where he implemented novel programs to improve readmissions, improve access to care and other quality measures.
He obtained a BS in Biology from James Madison University and clinically trained at University of Virginia receiving a bachelors and master of science in nursing as well as a post-master’s certificate as an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner. Craig has served on local, state and national committees in healthcare, nursing, cardiology and heart failure including the Board of Directors for the American Association of Heart Failure Nurses (AAHFN) for the last 6 years and is now President of AAHFN.
He is professionally involved in nursing education, clinical heart failure care, readmission reduction strategies and transitional healthcare strategies working with VetAccel, Inc since 2020 to bring these strategies to the Veteran’s cared for by the Department of Veterans Affairs.
When not engaged in his healthcare passions, Craig enjoys traveling and riding horses with his wife and daughter; and staying active in the gym, hiking, biking or on the pickleball court.
